President of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed, distributed appreciation certificates during a ceremony organized to celebrate the successful accreditation of undergraduate programs of the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology (FCIT) by the National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC).
The event, held at the Female Campus Auditorium, was jointly organized by FCIT in collaboration with the Office of Protocol and Public Relations.
Addressing the ceremony, the President congratulated the FCIT faculty and staff on the remarkable achievement. He emphasized the importance of academic quality, institutional development, and continuous improvement through external accreditation. He noted that the ceremony serves as a token of appreciation for the hard work of individuals across all levels, adding that teamwork is fundamental to the progress of any institution.
“This significant achievement reflects the collective efforts and commitment of the faculty, administrative units, and supporting departments in meeting national academic quality standards,” he remarked. To mark the occasion, a celebratory cake was also cut by the President.
The accredited programs include BS in Bioinformatics, BS in Computer Science and Information Technology, and BS in Software Engineering.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of notable dignitaries including Prof. Dr. Abdul Rehman (Vice President, Academics, Administration & Finance), Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja (Vice President, Research & Enterprise), Prof. Dr. Amna Mahmood (Vice President, Female Campus), Prof. Dr. Asmat Ullah Khan (Dean FCIT), Dr. Rukhsana (Students Advisor Female), Dr. Inam-ul-Haq (Director Administration), senior faculty members, officers, and a large number of administrative staff.
On the occasion, the Honorable President presented shields to heads of various directorates in recognition of their support during the accreditation process. Recipients included Dr. Inam-ul-Haq (Director Administration), Dr. Naveed Ehtisham (Director Academics and Examination), Dr. Amir Ishtiaq (Director Planning), Dr. Noor Hussain (Director Finance), Mr. Ateeq-ur-Rehman Chughtai (Director Human Resource), Mr. Zulqurnain Hashmi (Director IT), and Prof. Dr. Asmat Ullah Khan (Dean FCIT and NCEAC audit focal person), along with the Chairpersons and In-charges of FCIT departments.
Certificates of appreciation were also distributed among FCIT faculty members in recognition of their academic and administrative contributions throughout the accreditation process. Members of various supporting departments were also acknowledged, including non-academic staff from FCIT, and staff from the Offices of Academics and Examination, Planning and Development, IT, Finance, Human Resource, Civil Works, Purchase and Store, Library, Estate Management, Electrical and Mechanical, HVAC, Protocol and Public Relations, Linkages, Female Administration, Security, and Transport.
Dr. Salma Imtiaz, Chairperson Department of Software Engineering, acknowledged the efforts of multiple departments and individuals, including Dr. Inam-ul-Haq (Director Administration) and his team: Mr. Javaid Rabbani and Mr. Asif Kamal; Mr. Zulqarnain Hashmi (Director IT) and team members Mr. Shahid Mehmood, Mr. Shahzad, and Mr. Tauseef; Mr. Naveed Ehtesham (Director Academics) and Ms. Nosheen Syed; Mr. Ateeq-ur-Rehman Chughtai (Director HR) and Mr. Farhan Sabir; Dr. Imran Yousaf; Mr. Noor Hussain (In-Charge Finance); Mr. Amir Ishtiaq (Director Planning) and Mr. Usman Ali.
