Islamabad – The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) concluded a four-day Program Evaluators (PEVs) Training Workshop on July 1, 2025.
The workshop trained 50 faculty members from various universities on Outcome-Based Education standards. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Amir, Dean FET, and Engr. Haider Abbas coordinated the arrangements from IIU and PEC.
Renowned resource persons, including Prof. Dr. Inayatullah Babar (Vice Chancellor UET Taxila), Prof. Dr. Imtiaz Taj (CUST), and Prof. Dr. Naveed Ramzan (UET Lahore), led technical sessions. PEC Chairman Engr. Waseem Nazir attended the opening day, highlighting the need for strong engineering education standards.
Participants conducted mock evaluations of IIUI’s Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil Engineering programs through lab visits and document reviews. PEC thanked IIUI leadership, especially Vice President (R&E) Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, for supporting the initiative.
