Distinguished Filmmaker Visits Department of Media and Communication Studies (Female Campus)

 

The Department of Media and Communication Studies was honored to host Dr. Janet Harris, a renowned filmmaker and storytelling expert, on campus. During her visit, Dr. Harris engaged with students in an interactive session, sharing her extensive experience in film making and storytelling.

The session provided students with valuable insights into the world of film production, scriptwriting, and narrative techniques. Dr. Harris offered expert advice and guidance, helping students refine their projects and explore new creative avenues. Students had the opportunity to discuss their ongoing projects with Dr. Harris, receiving constructive feedback and benefiting from her expertise.

In addition to her interaction with students, Dr. Harris also held a meeting with the faculty members of the Department of Media and Communication Studies to discuss potential collaborations and research opportunities.

Highlighting the event, Dr. Harris attended a screening session of media students’ documentaries on social issues, showcasing their talent and creativity. The event was graced by Dr. Amna Mehmood, Director Female Campus, and Dr. Manzoor Khan Afridi, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, who presented souvenirs to Dr. Harris as a token of appreciation for her visit.
