The International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) had the privilege of hosting Dr. Janet Harris, a renowned documentary filmmaker and academic from Cardiff University, UK, on April 21, 2025. Her visit marked a significant collaborative initiative between the Research Group of Humanities and Social Sciences (chaired by Dr. Munazza Yaqoob), the Critical Thinking Forum, Department of English (Focal Person: Dr. Sonia Irum), and the Department of Media and Communication Studies (Focal Persons: Dr. Inam ur Rahman and Dr. Amrat Haq).
Following a cordial welcome by senior faculty members, Dr. Harris engaged in a vibrant interactive session with students from both the Department of English and Media Studies. She shared captivating insights from her journey as a documentary filmmaker, emphasizing the power of storytelling through visual and narrative mediums.
