The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), has achieved a major milestone with the official registration of the ASME-IIUI Student Section under the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
This development makes IIUI part of a global network of over 350 student sections and more than 16,000 engineering students worldwide.
The successful registration was made possible through the efforts of IIUI’s students and the support of the faculty advisor, Engr. Asad Asghar Janjua, along with the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
With this recognition, ASME-IIUI will now organize competitions, technical talks, outreach initiatives, and events that will connect IIUI’s engineering students with international learning and professional development opportunities.
