Understanding the Quran is Every Muslim’s Responsibility: Dr. Syed Aziz-ur-Rehman
A completion ceremony of the Quran recitation and its translation was held at Jamia Masjid Noor Islam, Regional Dawah Center (Sindh), Karachi, under the Dawah Academy of International Islamic University, Islamabad.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Syed Aziz-ur-Rehman, In-Charge of the Regional Dawah Center (Sindh), Karachi, highlighted the significance of the occasion, as the recitation of the Quran in Tarawih prayers was completed during the blessed month of Ramadan. He emphasized that it is the duty of every Muslim to understand the Quran’s message and reflect on its teachings. He urged the attendees to make the most of the sacred night by engaging in worship and seeking forgiveness.
During the ceremony, he presented commemorative shields on behalf of the Dawah Center to the mosque’s Imam and Khatib, Dr. Hafiz Abdul Samad, and Muezzin, Muhammad Hassan, in recognition of their contributions.
Earlier, Maulana Abdul Waheed, Director of Jamia Al-Ikhwan, stressed the need to follow the teachings of the Quran in all aspects of life. He stated that Ramadan encourages goodness and fosters piety through fasting. Dr. Abdul Majid, a teacher at Jamia Tur Rasheed, underscored the importance of obedience to Allah and adherence to Islamic teachings, particularly during Ramadan, when the rewards for good deeds are multiplied.
The event also featured a recitation of Hamd and Naat by renowned Naat reciter Haris Ahmed. The program concluded with the distribution of sweets and a collective prayer.
