REGIONAL DAWAH CENTER KARACHI ORGANIZES ISLAMIC TRAINING PROGRAM FOR TEACHERS

The Regional Dawah Center (Sindh), Karachi of Dawah Academy of the International Islamic University, Islamabad, organized an Islamic Training Program for teachers of religious seminaries.

In his keynote address on the first day, renowned scholar and researcher Allama Dr. Syed Salman Nadvi emphasized the significance of adopting a research-oriented approach in teaching at madaris to produce knowledgeable scholars and researchers. He highlighted that the Dawah Academy plays a pivotal role in conducting modern Islamic training programs on various topics and contributes significantly to the field of Dawah and preaching.

Dr. Nadvi stated, “Teachers and scholars in madaris must embrace research-based teaching methodologies to ensure the development of knowledgeable individuals who can enlighten society with the true teachings of Islam.” He stressed the need for revising and modernizing the curriculum of madaris by incorporating contemporary knowledge and technology. He also highlighted the importance of studying the Seerah (life of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him) from a research perspective, as it offers solutions to societal challenges.

Dr. Syed Aziz-ur-Rehman, In-charge of the Regional Dawah Center (Sindh), Karachi, welcomed the esteemed guests and expressed gratitude for their participation. He remarked, “We are fortunate to have Dr. Syed Salman Nadvi, a prominent scholar and preacher, with us to guide the teachers.” He urged the participants to engage wholeheartedly in the program.

On the first day, Professor Dr. Muhammad Arif Khan, a distinguished scholar and researcher from the United Kingdom, delivered an insightful lecture on the modern challenges in the study of Seerah and responded to participants’ queries.

Earlier, in the inaugural session, Course Coordinator Dr. Shehzad Channa shed light on the activities of Dawah Academy and provided an overview of the program.
