A team from Orange Tree Foundation, Karachi visited International Islamic University (IIUI) enhance collaboration for scholarship programs in order to facilitate deserving and talented students.
Orange Tree Foundation is a nonprofit organization aiming to believe Financial Independence through Quality Education and creating equal educational opportunities for high-merit financially struggling students in Pakistan in order to make them financially independent through its holistic program.
Ms. Nuzhat Zareen, Director (UAFA) IIUI welcomed the delegation comprising Mr. Omer Mateen Allahwala Chief Executive Officer, Orange Tree Foundation and Ms. Arooba Ghayas Manager Partnership.
During the meeting, Mr. Omer Mateen CEO discussed more joint ventures and collaborations for the promotion of education. He briefed about Character Enrichment Program, Student Counselling Support, Student Healthcare Assistance Women Empowerment Program (NISA).
Ms. Nuzhat Zareen briefed about working and procedures being adopted for award of different scholarships under office of University Advancement & Financial Aid (UAFA). She told that currently, 22% of the UG strength of the University is availing different need and merit based scholarships through different donor agencies. She also shared initiatives taken by the authorities through implementing its strategic plan
