Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zia ul Haq, Director General, Islamic Research Institute (IRI) of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) was conferred Tamgha i Imtiaz by Governor Punjab Balighur Rehman in the investiture ceremony held in Lahore.
The President of Pakistan announced this award in recognition of the Services of Dr. Muhammad Zia ul Haq in the field of education and his leading role in dissemination of peace building narrative ” Paigham e Pakistan”.
Dr. Muhammad Zia ul Haq is a professor of law who has also won HEC best teacher awad as well as he has also received international awards for his contributions as an active professional for peace and tolerance.
On the occasion, people belonging to various sectors including members of the provincial assembly, senior government officials attended the ceremony.
Rector IIUI, Dr. Samina Malik and President, Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi felicitated Dr.Zia ul Haq and maintained that he is a vital asset of the varsity who has been consistently bringing laurels to the institution. They urged the IIUI community to follow his footsteps and hoped that he will be a role model for rest of varsity officials for serving IIUI and whole nation.
