IIUI BEEFS UP SECURITY TO ENSURE FOOLPROOF SECURITY MEASURES AT CAMPUSES

In the light of the prevalent situation in the Federal Capital regarding security threats to educational institutions, Prof. Dr. Samina Malik, Worthy Rector International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) issued directives to ensure foolproof security measures within the campuses of university.

Prof. Dr. Samina Malik advised the concerned stakeholders to ensure security measures in this regard. IIU Rector directed Security and Administration of the university that it is our prime responsibility to provide a peaceful environment on campuses. She said that there shouldn’t be any loopholes. IIUI Rector Dr. Samina Malik vowed that no stone shall be left unturned to ensure a serene and secure environment at campuses.

The meeting was held here at the Office of Worthy Rector, IIUI. During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Abdul Raheman, Vice President briefed IIUI Rector about the present situation on security threats recently highlighted on electronic and social media to the educational institutions in twin cities that security is on High Alert in Federal Capital. Dr. Abdul Rehman said that the administration has taken proactive steps to safeguard our campuses in this regard. The purpose of the meeting was to ensure beefed up security at entry and exit points.

Dr. Abdul Raheman, Vice President (A&F) / (Academics), IIUI along with Mr. Inam Ul Haq, Director (Administration / Works), Security Consultant Brig, Muhammad Saleem Khan, Chief Security Officer / Provost Men’s Hostels, Col. Rtd. Muhammad Athar, Dr. Humaira Ashfaq, Provost, Female Hostels and Mr. Sajjad Siddiqui, Director, Female Campus attended the meeting.
At the end of the meeting IIU Rector said that the university administration must remain keen to ensure a safe and secure environment on campuses.
