BALOCHISTAN EDUCATION ENDOWMENT FUND DELEGATION VISITS IIUI FOR SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME ORIENTATION

A delegation from Balochistan Education Endowment Fund (BEEF) led by Mr. Mohsin Qadeer Team Leader, Scholarship Scheme visited International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) and met with students of Balochistan at Academic Block IIUI.

The purpose of the visit was Orientation of the newly launched scholarship scheme, “Out of Province Scholarship”, to meet Balochistan students at IIU and to devise a policy for better understanding. The team consisted of Mr. Muhammad Awais Kasi (Program Specialist), Mr. Dawood Khan (Public Relations Executive), Mr. Syed Israr (Assistant).

On this occasion the delegation met with the acting president Prof. Dr. Abdul Raheman at Administration Block of IIUI. Acting President, thanked the team and appreciated the contributions and efforts made by UAFA office of IIUI. He said that the university is keen to address the needs of society by preparing skilled graduates who can contribute in the best manner in the progress of the society and country.

During the meeting Dr. Abdul Raheman apprised that the university has a transparent mechanism of scholarship programs for the support of needy students under which they are being accommodated on merit .

During the meeting Ms. Nuzhat Zareen Director UAFA, IIUI also appreciated the efforts made by the BEEF team for the award of scholarships and liaison developed between BEEF & UAFA, IIUI.

On the occasion, Dr. Hafiz Ghufran Ahmed, Student Advisor (Male), also briefed the delegation about the university’s infrastructure, faculties at New Campus, its academic programs and said that a large number of students from Balochistan are enrolled at IIUI in different faculties.
