Program Mission:
The mission of the B.Ed with Information Technology program of IIU is the provision of a challenging learning environment infused with Islamic and research-based practices for the production of balanced and harmonious educational professionals proactively involved in innovation, research and Distance Learning environment
 
Program Goals:
The primary purpose of this program is to produce professionally sound teachers who can contribute to the field of digital learning/IT, share experiences, build academic acquaintance with the education community and have an urge for effective teaching through face to face and distance mode.
 
The mission and goals of the B.Ed in Education with Information Technology are designed to;

  1. Integrate Islamic values through education.
  2. Alignment of instructional skills of prospective teacher with hand-on practice through face to face and distance mode.

  Upon successful completion of the BS in Education with Information Technology program, students the prospective teachers of Education will be able to:
1. Conceptualize the latest information and innovative ideas of Learning Computer/IT and other required subjects of Education.
2. Apply school and classroom management skills and foster relationships with stakeholders in the larger community to support student learning and well-being during school-based internships in the context of face to face and distance Education.
3. Conduct action Research and develop humanistic thought based on the foundation of Islam.
4. Comprehend how children learn and develop and can be provided learning opportunities that support their intellectual, social, and personal development.
5. Plan and deliver instruction based upon knowledge of the subject matter, students, the community, and curriculum through Distance learning/IT.
6. Interpret and practice the Islamic and philosophical concepts of Education with their applications and understand how the curriculum is designed to meet the diversity and benefit of society and Muslim ummah
7. Use Information Communication Technology (ICT) in the teaching and learning process and assessment.
8. Possess strong communication and managerial skills for sustainable societal development through Distance mood/ IT.
9. Apply the central concepts, tools of inquiry, and structures of the discipline of Education or other related subjects and can create meaningful experiences that make these aspects of subject matter significant to the students.
