ACTING PRESIDENT HOLDS MEETING WITH FACULTY COORDINATORS

A vital gathering of university coordinators and faculty block in-charges was chaired by Acting President Prof. Dr. Nabi Bux Jumani here at the new campus on Friday. Attendees included, Director Administration, Incharge finance, officials of exam, admission, faculty coordinators, faculty block in-charges, and other key officials.

Prof. Dr. Jumani opined that we are in the age of competition and there is no room for negligence or procrastination. He opined that as per vision of the IIUI President the students are the most important entity of the university. He added that students’ facilitation is the top most priority of the university leadership and the administration has initiated a mechanism of accountability and performance.

He advised that on coming Monday the new comers will be having first day at the university that must be a memorable one and they must feel they are important and they must be welcomed in best way. He emphasized that the encouraging attitude, courteous dealing and immediate solution of the students issue are the salient features that have been desired by Worthy President IIUI and administration will not tolerate any misbehavior with the student.
Talking about the importance of the coordinators, he said that they are backbone of the university as they work as a bridge between academics and administration and students .

He desired that timetable preparation must be done on priority basis and those coordinators who have not completed this task must submit it by Monday morning positively. He said there will be zero tolerance for negligence if there is a consistent clash in time table and the schedule of buses and class management is not synched. He also gave a deadline that there should not be any faculty or department coordinator left by Monday who has not submitted the details of appointment of the faculty members to the academics section.

In the meeting, provision of the logistics to the faculties was discussed and the chair directed that all the logistic requirements must be met at earliest as well as the departments requesting logistics must submit the complete picture of available resources, strength of classes and management in accordance to the timetable. He said the coordinator and the faculty block incharges must be well connected about all the complaints, requirements, schedules, timetables, logistic support and management of the classes.

The participants were apprised that the complaint boxes will be set up across the campus to have the feedback about the dealing with the students and overall attitude towards facilitation. It was also conveyed that accountability will be the top priority in this regard. The Acting President desired that frequent meetings of the coordinators must be conducted to have a positive impact, feedback and knowledge about the day to day issues in this domain.

Assuring the maximum support, Prof. Dr. N.B. Jumani said that the hard workers are always encouraged and they will be rewarded for their efforts. He expressed hope that the coordinators will further cooperate in pursuing the reforms to lead the university to the destination of success. He said as per vision of IIUI President the university has adopted the market-oriented initiatives and it is emphasizing on the student-centric approach. At the end of the meeting, the Acting President reiterated the university’s commitment to academic excellence and underscored the pivotal role of coordinators in achieving this mission.
