MEETING ON CAMPUS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM HELD

A meeting regarding the Campus Management System (CMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) of International Islamic University (IIU) was held at the central library under the chairmanship of Acting President, Prof.Dr. N.B. Jumani.On the occasion, Convener of the CMS implementation Dr. Nadeem and Incharge IT Qazi Shehzad Saleem apprised the house on the progress of User acceptance testing (UAT), Master data verification and training of CMC modules.

Worthy Acting President said that in the light of the strategic plan and vision of IIUI’s President regarding digitization of the university, the campus management system after untiring work of months has been established. He said that university has been investing huge amount and time in this project and no negligence shall be tolerated in this regard. He said that all the focal persons must play their active role and management shall be taking action against those who are being negligent in implementation of CMS.  He added that those who have been working hard for the success of this project in the line of the vision of the university deserve appreciation.

He said that the new campus management system is a major component in the implementation of university’s strategic plan and reflects the high relevance IIUI attaches to international level teaching, learning and positive administrative reforms. He urged the IIUI community to take the ownership and adopt the system by cooperating with the IT team.

Earlier, Dean FET, Nadeem Ahmed Shiekh gave a detailed briefing about the CMS, its benefits, its present stage and its outcomes in future. He also gave a detailed overview of the roadmap of university’s strategic plan and elaborated the state of data that has already been incorporated in the system. He also apprised of the future strategy and utilization of this system to facilitate the students, teachers and administrative staff. The participants also hailed the CMS saying that it would pave way to academic excellence as it will help in transparent monitoring in pursuit of academic excellence and successful administrative reforms.

The house was apprised that faculties and students can use the campus management system for application and enrolment, planning of studies and the semester, and for examination and other allied tasks. It shall also help in monitoring the trajectory of the administrative procedures and workflow of the officials.  It was informed that the campus management system will be made available in the form of a web-based interface.
