International Institute of Islamic Economics (IIIE), of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) organized a seminar titled “New Development Framework in light of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” at female campus in Auditorium of Fatima Block.
M. Ali Kemal, Chief of Sustainable Development Goals SDGs Section at Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives was Guest Speaker, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rasheed Director General (IIIE), IIUI also participated in the seminar while, Assistant Prof. Dr. Hajra Ihsan, In-Charge Department of Economics (Female Campus), IIIE was the focal person for the seminar.
During the seminar speakers highlighted the importance of SDGs and shed light on revised strategies to achieve SDGs targets by emphasizing upon sustainability, resilience, long term investments, systematic and participatory approach and grassroots level development.
The seminar was attended by faculty members and a large number of female students of the International Institute of Islamic Economics.
