COMMITTEE TAKES DECISIONS TO STRENGTHEN MECHANISM OF FEE COLLECTION & SMOOTH FINANCIAL ACCESSIBILITY

A meeting to review the mechanism of the fee collection, identification and suspension of the fee defaulters and to explore ways for smooth financial accessibility was held here at the council hall of the new of campus of International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) that was chaired by Prof. Dr. Nabi Bux Jumani, Vice President, Administration and Finance on Friday.

It was also attended by the Vice President Academics, Professor Dr. Ayaz Afsar, Director Academics, Director Finance, Students’ Advisor female campus, members of the offices of admission, examination and IT including other relevant officials.

It was decided in the meeting that registration date for the students that has already been conveyed by the Director Academics shall be extended till March 3rd, 2023. It was also agreed by the house that Fee section shall prepare a list of the defaulters who have not paid fee that shall be displayed on university website and other relevant platform with a deadline of March 10. The house decided that after 10th of March, all the defaulters present in the list shall be suspended. The chair also endorsed the suggestion of the house that no students shall be allowed on provisional basis to continue the semester without clearing the dues.

It was also decided that sponsoring agencies shall be conveyed to address the pending dues of the students of their panel so that their admission may be secured in future.
In order to further enhance the coordination and liaison between the departments and administration, it was decided that the coordinators shall be liable to report to the office of Director Academics. Earlier, Director Finance apprised the house on the status of collection of fee in previous semester and also informed about the ongoing development regarding the API-based banking for the smooth financial accessibility for the deposit of fee.

The house showed concerns on the complaints in the process of fee deposit and joining by agreeing to make students and parents facilitation a top priority in addition to looking for alternatives to ensure smooth banking. The chair reiterated the resolve that no stone must be left unturned to facilitate the students and parent in matters related to banking and fee deposit as well as he stressed adoption of strict policy to bar the defaulters to continue without clearing dues.
