ENGLISH DEPARTMENT’S JOURNAL OF CONTEMPORARY POETICS GAINS RECOGNITION BY HEC

The Journal of Contemporary Poetics, hosted by Department of English, IIUI has attained recognition by the Higher Education Commission and has been placed in the Y-category. The Journal has gained a strong reputation for its quality publications in the field of literature and linguistics and has striven hard to maintain international standards of excellence and quality.

With Dr. Ayaz Afsar as its Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Aroosa Kanwal as its editor and Dr. Asma Mansoor, Dr. Amal Sayyid and Dr. Muhammad Sheeraz Dasti, as co-editors, the journal has endeavored to fulfill all HEC requirements. The team also included Dr. Uzma Abid Ansari and Dr. Akhtar Aziz as guest and review editors and Dr. Khalid Mehmood as Managing Editor while technical assistance was given by Mr. Junaid Azhar and Mr. Toqeer Ahmed.

The journal has showcased contributions from notable international reputable scholars including Dr. Claire Chambers, a Professor from the University of York, Dr. Graeme Harper who is the Dean at The Honors College, Oakland University, Zachary Bordas from the University of Georgia, Professor Pramila Venkateswaran from the Nassau Community College, New York, Dr. Laura Sparks who is an Assistant Professor of Rhetoric & Composition, English Department, California State University, Chico and Mark Piccini of the Queensland University of Technology.

International reviewers of the journal include Professors from notable universities in the developed world. The journal’s success is a classic example of determination, focus and extreme hard work by the team.
