VICE PRESIDENT A&F INSPECTS FINAL STAGE OF TURNSTILE GATES’ INSTALLATION AT HOSTELS

Prof. Dr. N. B. Jumani, Vice President Administration and Finance (A&F) visited the male hostels and inspected the final stage of the installation of new Turnstile gates.

It is pertinent to mention here that Turnstile gates shall be functional by next week on trail basis and IIUI will be the first university to adopt this advanced technology.

On the occasion, the Vice President was briefed by Provost Male Hostels Dr. Abrar Anver about overall matters of the hostels. He also apprised him of the security measures taken at the hostels.

The VP A&F was informed that the newly installed Turnstile gates are lined with Hostel Management System (HMS) of IIUI. He was apprised that installation of the gates will also be integrated with HMS and Turnstile software.

Dr. Jumani while showing satisfaction over installation of Turnstile gates said this milestone will pave the way for provision of peaceful milieu at hostels. He reiterated the resolve that the management would not tolerate illegal residence of boarders at the hostels and surveillance will be ensured through strict monitoring with an upgraded and advanced system. He said that facilitation of the students at hostels is top priority of IIUI. The Vice President said that the university management is keen to manage hostel facility for the students right from the start of their degree in opening semester.

He also desired that SoPs for the strict compliance of the new security system based gates must be finalized before the start of trail basis in coming days. He also opined that showed satisfaction that new Turnstile software based gates will be valuable addition to the attributes of international facilities on campus.

The Vice President was accompanied by Dr. Advisor P&P Muhammad Ashraf, Chief Security Officer, Brig. (Retd) Muhammad Saleem Khan, Students Advisor Dr Tauqeer Sargana, Additional Director P&P, Amir Ishtiaq and Assistant Director P&PR Alhassan, while relevant officials of the hostel management were also present on the occasion.
