RBDC, IIUI DISCUSS BILATERAL COOPERATION

A delegation of Rural Business Development Centre (RBDC) headed by its CEO Shahid Zia visited International Islamic University (IIU) on Tuesday. The delegation was received by Director General, International Institute of Islamic Economic (IIIE), Dr. Abdul Rashid here at new campus.

The delegation had discussion based meeting with university officials that was presided over by Rector, IIU Prof. Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, while it was also attended by Dean FMS, Dr. Abdul Rehman, Dean FSL Dr. Attaullah Faizi, Heads of the Departments of IIIE and Senior faculty members.

On the occasion, ways to explore bilateral cooperation in the regard of research and new economic models were explored. The experts of both sides shared thoughts on prevailing economic system. The CEO RBDC hailing the university researchers and scholars said that IIUI is of great help in producing tools compatible to the Islamic Development model. He also elaborated in a detailed briefing about the importance of the rural development model.

Rector IIU, on the occasion encouraged the interaction of the faculty and students with RBDC and stressed that future line of action in the light of possible joint collaboration objectives may be devised . He also stressed that, at micro level in the rural and urban areas, role of women entrepreneurship is vital and urged that participation of women in all the models must be a top priority.

Earlier. Dr. Abdul Rashid thanked the delegation and IIU Rector for sparing time and hoped that sharing of knowledge from both side would result in benefit of the society. He vowed that experts of IIIE shall be among the leading ranks for the welfare of society. It was agreed that involvement of young minds in the rural and urban economic models is pivotal for human welfare.
