KHATM E QURAN CEREMONY HELD AT NEW CAMPUS

A khatm e Quran ceremony was held here at the lawn of the male hostels of new campus in International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI).

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Muhammad Ilyas, Director General, Dawah Academy as Chief Guest. It was also joined by Provost (male hostels) Dr. Ibrar Anver, Students Advisor (male campus) Dr. Tauqeer Sargana , Head Cultural Committee Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Anver and 18 Qura and Hufaz who recited Quran in different places such as hostels of new and old campuses.

On the occasion, Dars e Quran was held that was delivered by the chief guest Dr. Qari Ilyas who highlighted the importance of Ramadan and devotion of Muslims. While congratulating the audience, he said that participants are the lucky one who availed the opportunity to be the part of a pious activity and most important part of Ramdan. He also highlighted the importance of the study of Quran stating that the Holy Month is the best source to get close to the sacred book.

Stressing upon the students, he said they must devote their lives in the light of teachings of Quran as it will ease their living and their hearts will be in peace. He said Youth are the future and ray of hope for the Muslim world and opined that they are the best power Muslims have as they can disseminate peace and practice Islam in best manner.

On the Occasion, expressing his views Dr. Ibrar Anver apprised of the details of the activity and devotion of the committee to make Taraweeh possible amid third wave of pandemic.  He said the provost office remains active to provide best living milieu to students for Ibadat, study and learning and vowed to continue it in future as well.

Dr. Tauqeer Sargana said that he was feeling lucky to be the part of this sacred activity. He also reiterated his resolve that students’ facilitation is the top priority.  He also appreciated the efforts of Dr. Hafiz M. Anwar and Dr. Ibrar.  He said we are passing through hard times of pandemic that demands to pray to Allah to forgive us and these are high times in the month of blessings to seek forgiveness from Almighty.

At the end, the ceremony concluded with dua by Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Anwar who also thanked IIU President for his untiring efforts and also congratulated the students on the announcement of the endowment of the grand Mosque by Saudi Arabia at the new of the university. The hufaz were awarded gifts and honorarium on the occasion as well.
