First meeting of the Board of Advanced Studies and Research (BASR) for year 2021 was held here at the new campus of International Islamic University (IIUI) that was presided over by H.E. Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi, President of the university.
The meeting was attended by Vice President AF&P Prof. Dr. N.B. Jumani, Vice President Academics, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, Vice President HS&R, Prof. Dr. Aqdas Naveed Malik and Vice President Female Campus, Prof. Dr. Farkhanda Zia. The meeting was also attended by Deans, Internal and external members of the committee, senior faculty members, Directors and Secretary of the Board Prof. Dr. Engr. Nadeem Ahmad Shiekh.
During the meeting, the board discussed and analyzed synopses’ of various faculties and also deliberated upon other agenda items. The board members also shared valuable suggestions for future research work of the students. On the occasion, IIUI President stressed that research according to the societal needs must be promoted. Talking about the contemporary situation, Dr. Hathal opined that research on new trends must be encouraged and overlapping of the subjects must be avoided. He added that academic excellence is the top priority and a quality research is a salient attribute that leads universities to the destination of success.
