TRAINING HELD ON “SELF DEVELOPMENT AND WORK PLACE MOTIVATION” IN CENTRAL LIBRARY IIUI

Central Library of International Islamic University (IIUI) in collaboration with Institute of Professional Development (IPD) conducted training on “Self Development and Work Place Motivation”.

Ms. Saneeha Khalid (Training Management Specialist) and Mr. Kashif Sohail Malik (Master Trainer) from IPD, IIUI conducted the training sessions for employees of the Central Library.

Ms. Saneeha started the session with ice breaker activity in which participants were asked to do brain gym activities. The trainer talked about achieving excellence and pursuing innovation in the workplace. Participants were asked to write their own definition of excellence. While talking about vision for self-development, the trainer engaged participants to write their personal visions related to professional development.

In the second session, Mr. Kashif Sohail Malik shared his experience of visiting US universities and their libraries. He shared the infrastructure, facilities, services and patron oriented programs of modern libraries. He gave many innovative ideas for patron engagement and library development. He appreciated the current modern library practices being offered in the Central Library, IIUI.

At the end, Mr. Muhammad Zulqarnain Akhtar, Chief Librarian, IIUI gave concluding remarks and thanked the trainers for conducting productive training sessions.
