A workshop on ‘Patent and Research Proposal Writing’ was organized by Department of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Basic & Applied Sciences, FBAS, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) in collaboration with Pakistan Biotechnology Students Society (PBSS) at the Faculty Seminar Room, FBAS, (IIUI).
Rector IIUI, Dean FBAS, Chairpersons FBAS and faculty members joined the workshop which was convened by Dr. Bashir Ahmad.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Masoom Yasinzai, Rector (IIUI) termed the workshop vital for research students and elaborated that the department has engaged experienced and qualified faculty and developed quality infrastructure equipped with modern classrooms latest teaching equipment, furnished labs for teaching and practical work. He added that it is a prodigious platform for exploring new ideas and expedite collaborations for developing projects for the benefit of the community. Rector, IIUI also appreciated the efforts of the department for conducting a productive workshop.
Prof. Dr. Arshad Zia, Dean, Chairpersons, faculty members and students of the Department of Biological Sciences, FBAS, also attended the workshop. The workshop aimed at promoting Biotechnology across Pakistan by providing students with the opportunity to gain subject specific skills.
