IIUI: 28TH INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM CONCLUDES

The 28th International Human Resource Development (IHRD) Program for Muslim Minority Countries concluded here at Dawah Academy, International Islamic University (IIUI). The concluding ceremony was organized at Allama Iqbal Auditorium, Faisal Masjid Campus of the University. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Masoom Yasinzai, Rector, IIUI and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh, President, IIUI attended the concluding ceremony as Chief Guests while, Prof. Dr. Sohail Hassan, Director General, Dawah Academy was also present on this occasion.

Dr. Masoom congratulated course participants for completing the program successfully and said that Muslim rights should be protected in the Muslim Minority areas of the world while, you people have great responsibility to bring yourself up to the level to build image of Islam. He added that Islam is a religion of peace and harmony and people of Pakistan are always supportive to unite Muslim Ummah.

Addressing the ceremony Prof. Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh, President, IIUI said, Islam is a religion of Peace and Harmony while, Muslim Ummah should unite under the umbrella of Islamic teachings and Islamic civilization. Prevailing challenges must be addressed in the light of teachings of Quraan and Sunnah he added. Dr. Draiweesh said that it is prime responsibility of Muslims to spread attributes of Islam across the world whereas, to explore the teachings of Quran and strengthening our faith teaching and learning should be the motto of each Muslim which is the only way for our success.

According to details one month long course was attended by 21 participants from 11 Muslim minority countries from Cuba, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos, Burundi and Rwanda. During the course participants attended 76 lectures and 119 sessions. Prominent scholars from IIUI and other universities of Pakistan delivered lectures to the participants on different religious and academic topics.

During training program course participants visited new campus of the university, renowned places of twin cities and also attended seminars.

Prof. Dr. Sohail Hassan, Director General, Dawah Academy (IIUI), briefed about the objectives of various programs of Dawah Academy, IIUI. Dr. Muhammad Shahid Rafi, Chairperson, Training, Ehsan Malik, Coordinator, 28th IHRD Program and Officials of Dawah Academy were also present on the occasion.

In the end course completion certificates and shields were present to the course participants by worthy Rector and Worthy President, IIUI.
