11TH HAJJ TRAINING PROGRAM ORGANIZED BY DCW, IIUI CONCLUDES

11th Hajj training program for women Master Trainers, which was organized by Dawah Centre for Women (DCW), Dawah Academy, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), in collaboration with “Harram Forum Pakistan”, concluded at Regional Dawah Center, Karachi. The two weeks long Hajj training program for master trainers was attended by 52 women participants hailing from almost all Districts of Karachi, various regions of interior Sindh and Baluchistan.

Hajj Training Program, containing Quran classes, lectures on basic Islamic teachings, practical workshops to avoid problems during Hajj, Tajweed and various other activities such as discussions among participants regarding the Philosophy of Hajj, administrative issues during performance of Hajj, and discipline matters during the Hajj. During the Hajj training program 44 lectures were broadcasted through live streaming which were viewed by around 6000 individuals.

Dr. Shehnaz Ghazi, Dean Faculty of Islamic Studies, Karachi University was the Chief Guest of the concluding ceremony. Prof. Dr. Sohail Hassn, Director General Dawah Academy (IIUI) honored the ceremony from Islamabad while, Dr. Aziz Ur Rehman, Incharge, Regional Dawah Center, Karachi, program coordinators, Ms Ameena Saleem, Incharge, Harram Forum, Karachi and Ms Shagufta Omer, Incharge, Dawah Center for Women (DCW, IIUI), teachers and participants of the course also attended the ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sohail Hassan, Director General, Dawah Academy, IIUI said that Hajj is a vital Islamic pillar and performing Hajj according to a given way by the religion, is a matter of reward from Almighty. He said arrangement of special Hajj Training Program for women by DCW is not only a sacred task but it is also a matter of honor and pride for the university. While showing satisfaction over DCW’s performance, Dr. Sohail said that formation of an across the country network of training programs by DCW is great effort. He specially thanked the women participants who all the way came from far flung districts of Sindh, Baluchistan and almost all districts of Karachi.

Dr. Shehnaz Ghazi, in her address said that Dawah Academy is providing valuable services to the society according to the teachings of Islam, recent program of DCW is part of such measures by the academy, she also lauded role of DCW administration on successful completion of the program and showed her interest to remain keen to take part in future programs.

Dr. Aziz Ur Rehman said that trainers must read authentic books and consult authentic sources when guidance required during the training. He also lauded the efforts of DCW. Earlier, Ms Shagufta Omar presented detailed introductory report on activates of Dawah Center for Women, IIUI. At the end, course completion certificates, Hajj training manuals, CD’s, books of Dawah Publications, were distributed among the participants by the Chief Guest.
