Recently established Business Incubation Center (BIC-IIUI), presented the research based cosmetic products from Dr. Bashir Ahmad’s Laboratory of Department of Biological Sciences, IIUI In an event titled “Jump Start Up Pakistan“ organized by Up Lift Pakistan at Jinnah Convention Center, Islamabad.
The objective of the event was to aware the participants to the rise of new technologies that are being incorporated into the world of beauty and taking the beauty and cosmetic industry to whole new heights.
On the occasion Dr. Bashir Ahmad, Assistant Professor, Department of Bio Sciences (BSD), Director Biotech Enterprises, said that Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology Laboratory (AMBL) is an active research group thriving to formulate the research based organic products, while, CitroMetics is a brand name for the organic cosmetic formulations of the Biotech Enterprises.
In the event, students of Bio Sciences IIUI under the guidance of Dr. Asma Gul, Chairperson, Department of Bio Sciences (DBS, IIUI) and (BIC, IIUI) Business Incubation Center’s team including Mr. Ahsan Mirza, Dr. Moshis Ali and his team presented the research based cosmetic products of Citro Metics consisting, Citro Toner (Skin toner), Citro Serum (Anti-winkle), Citro Moisture (Cream), Citro Fume (Oil), and a poultry essential protease enzyme from the Laboratory of Professor Dr. Abdul Hameed, Director, ORIC, IIUI.
The event was attended by a large number of businessmen and visitors who keenly took interest and offered to pitch the idea for further process of commercial production. It was the first commercial venture of BIC-IIUI with expectations to bring the idea into reality.
