IIUI mission is to transform the society by promoting education, training, research, technology, and collaboration for reconstruction of human thought in all its forms on the foundations of Islam.
The scope of activities of the Cell includes but, not limited to, the following. The Cell activities may change from time to time in view of the changing domestic and global requirements.
Review of Mission and Vision of the university and make necessary amendments if required; (b) Relevant Data Collection and Analysis; (c) Evaluate current and future requirements.
Establish goals and objectives; (b) Determine priorities and preferences with specific goals and time frames and preparing funding proposals in line with these goals.
Technical planning for highly technical programs such as feasibility for IIU’s branch campus (b) IIU’s Technology Park, Technology Incubation Centre, (c) Infrastructure Capacity of new academic and research programs at the university
Establishing international linkages and capacity building for liaison with world-class universities and local/international industries, together with identification of resources and establishing a time frame for the implementation of the plan such as human resource development for future requirements.
Prepare funding proposals for establishment of research labs and strengthening/improvement of existing academic facilities and submit them to HEC, MOST, PSF and other local and foreign funding agencies.
Closely interact with international funding agencies like European Commission, DAD or USAID, World Bank, Asian development Bank, Islamic Development Bank etc.
Exploring possibilities of Technology Park, Technology Incubation Center.
Explore possibilities of development projects; coordinate with external organizations and entities to negotiate commercial/industrial research projects.
