Arabic language is a distinguished one among other languages as it is the language of Holy Quran, said President, International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI), Dr. Ahed Yousif Al-Draiweesh addressing the orientation session of Sunday Arabic Learning Program at Faculty of Arabic.
Dr. Al-Draiweesh said that a Muslim keeps using Arabic language all the day as he offers prayers 5 times in a day in Arabic. He emphasized that the learners of Arabic language are the people who chose the sacred path of knowledge. He furthered that Arabic language does not only benefit the individuals in understanding the Quran but also it connects Muslim Ummah.
IIUI President added that Arabic is language of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.W). The persons who have joined this course are blessed people as they sacrificed their weekly holidays for learning Arabic in order to understand Quran.
He also praised the efforts of Dr. Muhammad Bashir, Dean Faculty of Arabic and Dr. Zaheer Ahmad, program coordinator for their untiring efforts to make this program successful. He also admired Dr. Habib ur Rahman Asim, who, he said, spares all of his time in serving Islam and Arabic language.
The Faculty of Arabic offered its 15th Session of Sunday Arabic Learning Program to facilitate the executives and professionals from different fields of life to learn Arabic on Sundays.
Earlier, Dr. Muhammad Bashir thanked President IIU for his presence in the session and said it will encourage the learners. Dr. Zaheer Ahmad introduced the Short Arabic courses which are being offered by Faculty of Arabic to the general public. Professor Dr. Munawar Gondal, Dean FLL, Dr. Habib ur Rehman Asim and Dr. Akhlaq Ahmad were also present on the occasion. Later on, President IIUI also visited female campus to welcome the female students in this program.
