TURKISH PRESIDENT OF RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS CALLS ON IIUI RECTOR  

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Gormez, President of Religious Affairs of Turkey Called on Prof. Dr. Muhammad Masoom Yasinzai, Rector, International Islamic University at his office.

Both officials discussed bilateral exchange of experiences and faculty members and agreed that it must be initiated as soon as possible.

Dr. Mehmet said on the occasion that “Quran” must be taken as top source of guidance by youth and it must be part of the curriculum in all the Muslim societies.

Dr. Masoom Yasinzai said on the occasion that religion and contemporary education must not be separated,  “There was no disparity between both as Muslims were leading in knowledge when they were paying attention to both and scientist like Jabir Bin Hayan and Ibn ul Haythm were doing wonders” said Dr. Masoom. IIUI Rector said that university was keen to disseminate interfaith harmony and it was paying special attention to build character of Islam in students.

Meeting was also attended by Vice President IIUI, Dr. Muhammad Munir (VP, AF&P, IIUI) and educational attaché of Turkey.
