International Islamic University Islamabad refutes the news circulating in the media regarding the alleged occupation of Faisal Mosque.
According to Section 4, sub section 5 of IIU ordinance of 1985 “The university shall be the custodian of the Faisal Mosque, Islamabad, and the buildings attached to the Mosque…”
Hence, IIUI’s control and presence at Faisal Mosque is perfectly legal and according to the law. IIUI is the only entity that has the legal mandate regarding affairs of the Faisal Mosque as its custodian.
