me Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Atiq called on President, International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh at his office.
During the meeting, issues pertaining to cooperation in the field of education and especially bilateral efforts for opening centers for Arabic learning were discussed. It was agreed on the occasion that joint efforts for the promotion of Arabic language will be initiated in the future.
Talking about the Kashmir cause, Sardar Atiq said that Muslim countries’ support for the freedom of Kashmir is exemplary and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has always provided maximum support to the people of Kashmir. He said that people of Pakistan have special love for the sacred land and people of both countries have strong bond of brotherhood and respect.
Dr. Al-Draiweesh said on the occasion that he will keep playing his role for linkage of Pakistani and Saudi Arabian educational institutions and he will be happy to work for the cause of promotion of Arabic language in AJK through IIUI and KSA educational institutions.
He also briefed the former AJK premier about IIUI’s recent collaborations with various universities of country and across the world. He said IIUI will be happy to share its expertise such as Arabic language, Islamic Studies and fiqh with all varsities of Pakistan.
