Faculty of Arabic (Female Campus) International Islamic University, Islamabad organized 2nd Annual Arabic Language Quiz Competition 2016 among the students of IIUI Schools of twin cities in which teams from 17 IIUI schools participated.
Dr. Ahmad Yousif Al-Draiweesh President IIUI graced the ceremony as chief guest. While addressing the students the President IIUI said that the learning of Arabic language is necessary to understand the message of Allah (SWT) and His messenger Prophet (PBUH) for Muslims.
He further advised that children particularly be taught Arabic language as well as the contemporary learning for better understanding of Islam and Quran. Dr. Al-Draiweesh also encouraged the young students for their expressive performance and appreciated the faculty members for providing them such an opportunity.
The competition was divided into the categories of junior, senior teams and individual in which “Alhudhud Al-Arabi” title was also 
awarded accordingly. The jury of the competition consisted of Dr. Salma Sehole, Dr. Shagufta Nasreen, Dr. Nargis Nazeer, Faculty of Arabic IIU, and Mrs. Abida, Head of Arabic Department, FG College for women f-7/2 Islamabad.
The title of “Alhudhud Al-Arabi” went to Aimen Tariq from senior group and Hassan Altaf from junior group. In the junior team category, IIUI School E-11 Campus secured first position, while i-8 Campus stood second and G-10 Campus was on third position. In senior category IIUI School PWD Campus Rawalpindi stood fist, while IIUI School Westridge (Peshawar Road Campus) stood on second and Westridge (Chur Chock) Campus got third position. All the participants were given participation certificates and prizes.
At the end Dr. Aliya Akram Chairperson faculty of Arabic thanks all the guests for their support, and participants to make the event successful.
