H.E. Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi, President, International Islamic University (IIU) while chairing the meeting of the steering committee for 12th convocation of university has announced the decrease in the registration fee of convocation while registration date for the convocation participation has been extended till 23rd of October.
According to details, it was decided that the fee of registration for convocation will be decreased from 5 thousand to 3 thousand, while fee for the guests was decided to be decreased from 3 thousand to 2 thousand. It was also decided in the meeting that those students who have registered and payed the fee as per previous amount, their amount will be refunded or adjusted accordingly. The IIUI President also directed that a report may be submitted to him in a couple of days about inclusion of the second guest so that a decision be made in this regard.
Another important decision by honorable President IIUI was inclusion of the students for convocation who have passed their degrees in fall 2022 and spring 2023. After deliberation, it was also decided in the meeting that the gold medalist may nominate his/ her nominee for receiving the award. H.E. Dr. Hathal also consented that the date of the registration may be extended till 23rd of October.
The house was apprised that the 12th convocation of the university will be attended by the Chancellor IIUI/ President of Pakistan, Pro Chancellor IIUI, Dr. Ahmad Salem Mohammed Al-Aamri and other renowned personalities.
The steering committee meeting was also attended by Prof. Dr. Abdul Raheman, Vice President (Academics), Prof. Dr. N.B. Jumani, Vice President Administration and Finance, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, Vice President Research & Enterprise, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khan, Director (Academics & Examinations) and rest of the members of the committee that included Deans, DGs and concerned Officers.
