More than 5000 male and female candidates, on Saturday, appeared in the entry test for admission to three undergraduate programs of BS Computer Science, BS Software Engineering and BS Information technology against 500 seats in the Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences at International Islamic University Islamabad.
August 21 was the day to commence the admission test process that kicked off with aforesaid admission tests in the Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences.
All three programs are accredited by National Computing Education and Accreditation Council of HEC.
It is pertinent to mention here that IIU is one of the pioneer institutions offering tertiary education in computing for the last 27 years.
In the new Strategic Plan, the present Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering is being upgraded to a Faculty of Computing. In addition, BS Bioinformatics, BS Cyber Security and BS Artificial Intelligence will also be offered to fullfil the need for emerging digital world of 21st century.
