Two of the journals of the education department of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) have been upgraded to Y Category.
According to details, Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC), in its meeting of ‘Experts Committee’ for Evaluation of Social Sciences Journals, unanimously decided to upgrade both journals of Department of Education namely “International Journal of Innovation in Teaching and Learning (IJITL)” & “International Journal of Distance Education and E-Learning (IJDEEL)” from ‘Z’ to ‘Y’ category.
Prof. Dr. Samina Malik is editor of IJITL while Prof. Dr. N. B. Jumani is editor of IJDEEL. The editorial team includes Dr. Azhar Mahmood, Ms. Humaira Akram and Dr. Fouzia Ajmal, Dr Shamsa Aziz and Dr Muhammad Munir Kiyani. Both the journals are internationally indexed.
The journal publications will be valid for promotion/appointments on BPS and PhD requirements. The university leadership has lauded education department’s hard work and felicitated the team of journals.
