The Faculty of Shariah and Law was established in Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad in 1979 but was subsequently incorporated into Islamic University Islamabad in 1980. A Student registering for PhD program is required to complete one-year course work before starting his thesis.
So far more than 900 students have graduated from the faculty most of them are working in the judicial and litigation departments through out Pakistan and abroad. The faculty has prominent place in the academic world as distinguished scholars from universities such as Al-Azhar and Cairo come here to teach. Moreover many graduates and teachers have got scholarships for studying in the best universities of the world.It is hoped that this site will serve as a guide to all those who wish to pursue studies in the peaceful and harmonious atmosphere of the beautiful city of Islamabad the capital of Pakistan.
