The Department of Politics and International Relations, International Islamic University, Islamabad organized a seminar with PTV World on the “Foreign Policy of Pakistan” at Faisal Masjid campus of the university.
The guest speakers were Lt General (retd) Talat Masood, Expert on Military Affairs, Mr. Nafees Zakriya, Pakistan Foreign Office Spokesperson, Ali Sarvar Naqvi, Former Ambassador and Sehar Kamran, Senator, Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarian. Masood Ur Rehman Khattak was the focal person of the seminar who also spoke on the occasion.
Speakers highlighted challenges to Pakistan’s foreign policy which included LoC tension with India, India’s inclusion in NSG, relationship with Afghanistan and Iran, CPEC and its future incentives, Russian interests in CPEC, internal and external security challenges to Pakistan etc. It was an interactive program in which students could ask questions related to foreign and defense policies of Pakistan.
