The Faculty of Education, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), in collaboration with the Aspire team, organized a seminar titled “Mastering Confidence in Interview and Professional Communication” at the Central Library Seminar Room on Thursday. The event was coordinated under the supervision of Dr. Zarina Akhtar, In-charge Quality Development and Higher Studies.
The session opened with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by an interactive ice-breaker activity led by university leader Laiba Maab, where participants introduced themselves to peers and shared personal insights. Later, Aspire university leader Mishkat Waheed briefed students about the Aspire program, its international reach, and its two major tracks—Personal and Professional Development, and the Aspire Horizons Course. She also highlighted the Extended Leadership Program, which offers mentorship opportunities and financial incentives.
Guest speaker Saim Iqbal delivered the keynote session, offering practical strategies to build confidence and excel in professional communication. He shared tips for performing effectively in job interviews and engaged students in a Q&A session to address their queries. He later conducted an activity where participants crafted their self-introductions and received constructive feedback.
Aspire university leader Faqiha Tayyaba facilitated on-spot registrations, guiding students through the process, with a majority enrolling for the program. Dr. Zarina Akhtar encouraged students to benefit from Aspire’s offerings, while Dr. Azhar Mahmood, In-charge Programs at the Faculty of Education, emphasized the significance of interview preparation and CV writing for career success.
