IRI-IIUI Showcases Sīrah Publications at International Seerat-un-Nabī ﷺ Conference

 

Islamabad: The Islamic Research Institute (IRI) of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) participated in the Qur’ān and Sīrah Exhibition organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony during the International Seerat-un-Nabī ﷺ Conference. The conference was themed “State Responsibilities in the Education and Training for the Positive Use of Social Media in the Light of the Seerah of the Prophet ﷺ.”

The exhibition was inaugurated by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf.

Dr. Sohail Khan, In-charge of IRI Publications Section, led the institute’s delegation, which included Mr. Hameed Nasir, Dr. Muhammad Amjad Kallu, and Mr. Moheb Khan. The IRI displayed its research-based publications, including monographs, edited volumes, and journals on Sīrah studies.

During his visit to the IRI stall, the Federal Minister was briefed on the institute’s recent and flagship works. Dr. Khan highlighted that IRI’s publications aim to connect classical Sīrah scholarship with present-day issues, particularly in education and digital ethics.

The Minister commended IRI’s role in promoting authentic Islamic teachings and stressed the importance of research that guides responsible use of social media in line with the Seerah.

IRI’s participation reflected IIUI’s broader mission of addressing contemporary societal challenges through research. The exhibition provided a platform for academic and governmental institutions to share resources and perspectives on moral and educational responsibilities in the digital era.
