Journal of Social Sciences Review, an academic journal of the International Islamic University seek to foster research in various fields of social sciences such as Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, Rural Sociology, Political Science, International Relation, History, Media studies, Gender Studies and other key areas of social sciences.
Journal of Social Sciences Review invites contributions from scholars and experts to share knowledge and encourage healthy debate in wide ranging area of social sciences.

Issues Published

Authors (teachers, researchers and students) who wish to contribute in the Journal should submit their papers/articles in English language as per the following guidelines

Guide lines for submission of Paper

  • Manuscripts need to be in three hard copies and a soft copy (Microsoft Word) together with an abstract of 250 words according to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association.
  • Abstract of 250 words should also be on a separate page with 3 to 5  key words
  • All the articles/reviews should also be sent via  email as an attached Microsoft World Document on [email protected]
  • Authors are requested to include with each copy of the manuscript a cover sheet, which shows the title of the study, the author’s name, clearly depicting the principal author, correspondence author/s  and the institutional affiliation,
  • Articles and reviews for submission must be original work and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • Article should be between 5000 and 8000 words in length
  • If the article includes images, please include them as separate files.
  • Review should normally be between 1000 and 2000 words.
  • All parts of the manuscripts should be typewritten and printed on one side of the paper, font size 12, Times New Roman, left aligned, double spaced with margins of at least one inch on all sides
  • Manuscripts including tables, figures, illustrations and references, should be prepared in accordance with the publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (5th Edition).
  • Tables and figures should not be embedded in the next, but should be included as separate sheets or files. A short description title should appear above each table with a clear legend and any footnotes suitably identified below. All units must be included. Figures should also be completely labeled.

Instruction to authors

Social Sciences Review (SSR) is a research journal to be published on a biannual basis by International Islamic University.  The SSR provides a forum for the dissemination of findings related to social issues and various aspects of society. The journal aims to enhance the understanding of social, environmental and cultural factors affecting individuals and society as well. The journal welcomes articles from all disciplines allied to Social Sciences.  Importance is given to original and empirical research. However, comprehensive and up-to-date review articles are also considered for publication. The SSR follows the blind peer-reviewing policy.
Submission of Manuscripts: The original manuscript along with two copies should be submitted to the Editor. Authors are requested to include with each copy of the manuscript a cover sheet, which shows the title of the study, the author’s name and the institutional affiliation. The covering letter should also clearly depict the principal and correspondence authors.  The first page of text should omit the author’s name and affiliation. However, it should include the title of the research. It is desirable to duly acknowledge the contribution of all the authors, organizations and institutions involved in the research. Certification of sole authorship needs to be provided in the case of a single author.  Co-researchers must be equally recognized.  The journal is not responsible for any conflicts dealing with authorship.
The authors are strongly encouraged to submit manuscripts on disk/CD or soft copy via email prepared using MS Word and should be clearly labeled with the author’s names, file name and software version. Each manuscript should be accompanied by a statement that it has neither been published nor been submitted simultaneously for publication elsewhere. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material from other sources. Authors are also responsible to ensure that the article contains no plagiarism.  All accepted articles will become the property of the publisher.
All parts of the manuscripts should be typewritten and printed on one side of the paper, font size 12, Times New Roman, left aligned, double spaced with margins of at least one inch on all sides. The manuscript should be numbered consecutively throughout the paper. Authors should also supply a shortened version of the title suitable for the running head, not exceeding 50 character spaces. Each article should be summarized in an abstract of not more than 250 words.
Manuscripts including tables, figures, illustrations and references, should be prepared in accordance with the publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (5th Edition). Further instructions can be obtained from the journal web page at [email protected]

Reprints: A copy of the journal and  3 reprints will be supplied free of cost. Additional reprints may be obtained by ordering in advance from the Editors.  For this prepayment is required.
