The Department of Teacher Education at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) held an exhibition titled “Frames of Reflection: Classroom Assessment in Focus”, highlighting BS Education students’ understanding and application of classroom assessment principles.
Organized as part of the Classroom Assessment course, the exhibition displayed students’ handwritten workbooks developed over the semester. These included ten core activities, each evaluated through a rubric-based self-assessment process. Students also shared written and verbal reflections, offering insights into their learning journey and the assessment concepts explored, such as learning outcomes, test construction, reliability, validity, and grading.
Dr. Muhammad Munir Kayani, Chairperson of the Department, commended the students and Dr. Fouzia Ajmal, the activity’s focal person. He remarked that the exhibition reflected both academic achievement and reflective engagement.
Faculty members Dr. Zarina Akhtar, Dr. Fatima Maqsood, Dr. Alina Raza, Dr. Humaira Akram, and Ms. Bushra Rehman also acknowledged the students’ efforts.
The event aligns with IIUI’s Strategic Plan (2022–2026) by promoting quality teaching, student-led assessment, and academic growth. Participating students expressed appreciation for the opportunity, stating that it helped them assess their learning and understand educational standards more deeply.
