IIUI Media Department Holds Screening and Projects Display

The Department of Media & Communication Studies (DMCS) at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) organized a Screening and Projects Display event, presenting student projects from various semesters.
Air Vice Marshal (Rtd) Aftab Hussain, chief guest, appreciated the students’ efforts and their potential to contribute positively to society. He was joined by Prof. Dr. Manzoor Khan Afridi, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, along with guest scholars Dr. Amna Zulfiqar and Dr. Isma Anum from NUML, and faculty members of DMCS.
Students of the BS-8 semester presented documentaries on community services. These projects, supervised by Dr. Ayesha Sadaf, were screened during the event and reflected students’ engagement with social issues through visual storytelling.
BS-3 semester students showcased their advertising course projects under the guidance of Dr. QuratulAin Ann Malik. The projects focused on practical applications of advertising principles and campaign development.
Theory-based academic work was presented by BS-5 semester students under the supervision of Dr. Sahifa Mukhtar. These displays demonstrated students’ understanding of media theories and their relevance to contemporary media practices.
Dr. Amrat Haq delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of the chief guest, invited scholars, faculty members, and students. The event provided a meaningful platform for academic exchange and encouraged student engagement in media-related work.
