IIUI Hosts Seminar on AI, ICT, and Media Use in Classroom Teaching

A seminar titled “Teaching and Learning in the Digital Era: Use of AI, ICT, and Media in Classroom” was held here, at the Department of Teacher Education, Faculty of Education, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI).

Dr. Muhammad Tanweer Afzal, Incharge, Department of Science Education, Faculty of Education, Allama Iqbal Open University, was the invited speaker. The session was chaired by Dr. Muhammad Munir Kayani, Chairperson of the Department of Teacher Education.

Dr. Munir Kayani welcomed the guest and shared the seminar’s objectives, which focused on exploring the integration of artificial intelligence and digital tools in teaching practices. The seminar was attended by faculty members and students of the Faculty of Education.

Dr. Tanweer Afzal discussed the importance of AI in modern classrooms, highlighting both its potential and challenges. He introduced various online learning tools and platforms and emphasized the role of media and ICT in enhancing the teaching-learning process.

A question-and-answer session followed the talk, allowing participants to engage in meaningful discussion. Dr. Kayani thanked the guest speaker for his insights and contributions. Faculty members including Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Dr. Zarina Akhtar, Dr. Fouzia Ajmal, and Dr. Nasir Khan were present along with students.
