
The International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) held its 104th Selection Board over two days to review and deliberate on key academic appointments and related matters. The meeting was chaired by the President, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed, while the Vice President (Research and Enterprise), Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, served as Secretary of the Board.
The Board included distinguished members such as Honourable Justice Syed Muhammad Anwar, Senior Aalim Judge of the Federal Shariat Court; Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza, Vice Chancellor, Fatima Jinnah Women University; Prof. Dr. Sadia Nadeem, Dean and Head, FAST School of Management; Prof. Dr. Jamil Ahmed, Vice Chancellor, Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan; and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Inayatullah Khan, Vice Chancellor, UET Taxila (Nominee from HEC).

The proceedings focused on cases from the Faculty of Usuluddin (Islamic Studies), Faculty of Sciences, and Faculty of Social Sciences. Addressing the participants, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed emphasized that the university’s leadership is implementing its new strategic plan to strengthen academic excellence and institutional efficiency. He reiterated that clearing the backlog of pending selection boards remains a top priority, with all decisions to be guided by transparency and merit.

Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed acknowledged the contributions of Director QAD, Prof. Dr. Rahmat Ellahi, and Director HR, Mr. Ateeq ur Rehman Chughtai, for their effective coordination. He also appreciated the efforts of the Deans, faculty representatives, and members from QAD, HR, Meeting Section, and Protocol & Public Relations who supported the smooth conduct of the meeting.
