The Department of Hadith and Its Sciences, Faculty of Usuluddin, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), organized a faculty recognition ceremony, where books related to Hadith and its sciences were distributed among the teaching staff.
The event was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Awaji, with Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, President IIUI, gracing the occasion as the chief guest.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Shuja said that gifting books is one of the most valuable ways to acknowledge teachers. He emphasized the academic significance of the Faculty of Usuluddin, highlighting its national and international contributions. He also remarked that the faculty has played a foundational role in upholding the Islamic identity of the university and will continue to strengthen IIUI’s global academic outreach.
In his welcome note, Dr. Al-Awaji thanked the president and participants, while Prof. Dr. Taj Afsar, Dean of the Faculty, lauded the initiative for empowering faculty members with essential academic material. He noted that such steps are crucial in enhancing research and teaching in the field of Hadith studies.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by the chairman, followed by the distribution of books to faculty members by the President, Dean, and Chairman.
