The Directorate of Human Resource Management and Development at the International Islamic University Islamabad is continuing its professional development initiative under the series titled Professional Conduct and Positive Student Engagement. The training program commenced on November 10 and will conclude on December 17. It consists of four modules delivered across sixteen sessions for four groups of employees. Two modules have been completed, while the remaining two are in progress and will be concluded by December 17.
Training modules have been facilitated by Dr. Attique Raza, Director Positive Solutions; Mr. Salman Farooq, Director QNaturals; and Dr. Nazia Iqbal, Assistant Professor at IIUI, with academic support from Dr. Amna Hassan. The sessions focus on enhancing peak performance, strengthening student-centered administrative practices, and fostering emotional positivity in the workplace.
During the closing ceremony of the module conducted by Dr. Attique Raza, Mr. Ateeq-ur-Rehman Chughtai highlighted the Directorate’s commitment to building professional capacity among employees. He emphasized the importance of continuous training for improving service delivery and promoting a responsible and efficient work environment. A shield was presented to Dr. Attique Raza in recognition of his contribution.
The module conducted by Mr. Salman Farooq also concluded recently. In the closing ceremony, participants welcomed Syed Hassan Aftab upon assuming the charge of Director HRM&D. In his remarks, Syed Hassan Aftab underscored the significance of professional development in shaping a disciplined, focused, and service-oriented workforce. He appreciated employees’ engagement in the training process and expressed gratitude to the resource persons for their efforts.
Syed Hassan Aftab advised participants to remain attentive, maintain a constructive mindset, and avoid unnecessary concerns. He noted that a positive and focused approach is essential for achieving excellence in administrative roles and student-related responsibilities.
Meanwhile, the module titled Understanding Student Psychology, facilitated by Dr. Nazia Iqbal with support from Dr. Amna Hassan, commenced last week and is currently underway. The session began with an overview of students’ emotional and behavioral dynamics, introducing participants to key tools for empathetic and student-centered engagement.
The Directorate reaffirmed its commitment to promoting professionalism, ethical conduct, and continuous learning across the university. Photographs from the completed and ongoing sessions have been included for record and publication.
