

Dawah Academy, International Islamic University Islamabad, through its Faisal Mosque Islamic Centre, organized the concluding ceremony of Tajweed-ul-Quran Course No. 79 at the main hall of Faisal Mosque. The chief guest of the ceremony was Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed, President International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), while the event was presided over by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ilyas, Director General, Dawah Academy.
The ceremony was attended by students who successfully completed the Tajweed-ul-Quran course, along with students and teachers of the Tahfeez-ul-Quran program at Faisal Mosque. Addressing the gathering, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed congratulated the successful participants and appreciated the role of Dawah Academy in promoting Quranic education.
In his address, the President highlighted the importance of reciting and teaching the Holy Quran with proper Tajweed in the light of Quranic verses and the sayings of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). He emphasized that memorization or correct recitation alone is not sufficient; rather, understanding the message of the Quran and implementing it in practical life is essential. Referring to a narration of Hazrat Aisha (RA), he said that the character of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was a reflection of the Quran.
Earlier, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ilyas welcomed the chief guest and congratulated the successful students. He briefed the audience about the ongoing Quranic education programs at Faisal Mosque, stating that Tajweed-ul-Quran courses are conducted twice a year, each spanning four months, and certificates are awarded to successful participants. He also acknowledged the efforts of the teaching faculty for their dedicated services.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, certificates were distributed among the successful students, while those securing 100 percent marks were also awarded special cash prizes by the President of IIUI.
