The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) hosted an 18 member delegation of students from Mechanical Technology Department of Government college of Technology, Attock.
Prof. Dr. Nadeem Ahmed Sheikh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, FET, IIUI welcomed the students at IIUI where he briefed the students and faculty members of college about the faculty and its programs.
Engineer Dr. Adnan Aslam Noon Chairman Department of Mechanical Engineering, Engineer, Javed Ahmed Khan Tipu, Incharge, ILO, FET were also present on the occasion.
The aim of the visit was to encourage the students to areas such as Engineering and technology and motivate them to think about engineering as their future majors and later as careers.
During the visit the students also observed the experimental work and lab equipment in the Department and witnessed the latest equipment in the lab and gained valuable information from IIUI faculty members. Prof. Dr. Nadeem Ahmed Sheikh, Dean FET, termed the visit of the students to broaden the vision of the future engineers and appreciated this initiative for creating the linkage between IIU and Degree College.
