TRAINING COURSE FOR DRIVERS CONCLUDES AT IIUI, VP HAILS CTU

Central Transport Unit (CTU) of the International Islamic University arranged  a six-day long training workshop for drivers in collaboration with Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) which was concluded by the Vice President (Academics) Dr. Muhammad Bashir Khan at new campus.

This workshop was aimed at raising awareness among drivers on Traffic Rules/ regulations/ road sense in collaboration with ITP Education Team, told Mr. Jehanzaib W. gadgore (In-Charge, Central Transport Unit). Keeping in view strength of drivers, they were divided in three batches, he added.

Vice-President (Academics) assured that university administration is committed to provide comfortable and safe transportation to its students, faculty and staff. He hailed the CTU of university saying that being the biggest transport section in twin cities, the IIUI transport officials were doing their job with best zeal and responsibility.

Ceremony was also attended by Mr. Malik Matloob Ahmad (SSP, Traffic Division, Islamabad), Mr. Khalid Mahmood Raja (Director Administration), Mr. Saif-ur-Rehman (Director Finance), Dr. Tariq Javed (Student Adviser), member of Accidental Committee and a large number of university drivers.

Amid training, a test of each batch of drivers was arranged to assess the need/ grey areas which need to be addressed during training sessions. Thereafter, lectures were delivered by ITP officers with the help of displaying clips about different accidents to educate IIU drivers to be more careful while driving University vehicles

SSP, Traffic Division, Islamabad Malik Matloob Ahmad appreciated the efforts of university to train its drivers about the latest developments in traffic rules and regulations. He congratulated the drivers who have passed the test conducted by ITP team and were awarded certificates. At the end of ceremony, souvenirs were distributed among the guests and officials of Islamabad Traffic Police.
