About FMS
The Faculty of Management Sciences was established in 1995. The Department of Business Administration the first to be established launched its MBA program in January 1996. The Department of Technology Management was set up in 1998. The Faculty is now the largest faculty of the University with over 2100 registered students.
Our Mission
Our mission is to produce managers in the fields of HR, Finance, Marketing, information technology, and telecommunication for the 21st century who could face the ever-changing requirements of modern digital economics with vision courage and competence. The faculty strives to produce the manpower that shall contribute towards the development of Pakistan and the Ummah to gain a competitive edge in the global village. This is achieved by providing state of the art knowledge and skills required and in vogue in the fast changing business world along with sound social and ethical values of Islam.
Our Approach
Our faculty uses a variety of teaching and training techniques in order to provide effective learning environment. Classroom lectures from the core of the teaching program. It is supplemented by case studies, projects, class presentations, industrial visits and filed work.

Our programs are demanding, requiring a great level of personal commitment and discipline to undertake extensive study. Research projects are integral part of our programs. The purpose of these projects is to provide students the opportunity to test the application of their knowledge in the market. It gives student the methodology of research, systematic analysis of thought, presentation, report writing and conversion of data into information. Leadership and teamwork from the basic concept of these activities. It is our resolution to combine the best of faculty, academic facilities and program design with dedication to establish an institution of international repute.

Our programs are designed to be totally up to date and current in terms of the requirements of the market. This is illustrated not only by the content and design of the program, the teaching philosophy and its vision but also by the fact that we keep on updating the course contents regularly according to market needs. Our emphasis on Islamic and ethical values distinguishes us from other institutions. We strongly believe in inculcating pride in our students to be a Pakistani and a Muslim. It is an important factor for renaissance and future world positioning of Pakistan and Muslim Ummah.
FMS as Pioneer
FMS has earned reputation for its quality education programs in Business Administration and Information Technology Management (ITM). Realizing the importance and emerging needs of new technologies, disciplines and systems, FMS has come forth as a pioneer to cater to these needs and launched a number of programs for the first time in the country.

In, 1999, FMS launched MBA in Information Technology Management (ITM), a hybrid degree program of two years duration with courses in business administration and courses for programming languages and development tools to cope with the emerging trends of information technology. The program was well appreciated all over the country.

A couple of years later, FMS introduced BBA-ITM (Hons) for the first time and attracted a lot of students from all over the country. BBA-ITM (Hons) program is designed to equip the students with IT skills and tools as well as the comprehensive insight of business knowledge.

Keeping in view the technological developments and potential market for new technology managers MBA Program in Telecommunication Management and IT Project successfully one among popular programs.

Also taking the lead FMS started PGD program in World Trade & intellectual Property Rights. The qualified manpower in these areas is the needs of the day after coming into effect the WTO regime.
